FAQ's

Below we have listed some of the questions we are often asked. Please free to ask us any questions you may have. We also welcome appointments with prospective customers to see the facility during a normal working day.

Q: Why use us?
A: We are extremely confident in our ability to offer all dogs in our care a friendly and safe environment. All staff have completed pet first aid and dog behaviour training.

Q: Can I see the facilities before booking my dog a place?
A: Yes. We recommend and want you to do this! Before we accept any dog, we invite you to come and visit us. Our usual procedure is to bring the dog in for 30 minutes and then invite you in to see the facility. This way you will see your dog settled in to the daycare life.
We will also show you our facilities and run through the booking forms during the informal meeting. We will only accept new dogs into our care once the forms are completed. We will also check and hold a copy of proof of your dogs vaccinations. We do not accept dogs with aggression or anti-social behaviour issues.

Q: Are you insured?
A: Yes. We are fully insured and our insurance covers public liability.

Q: Are you licensed?
A: Yes. As of 1st October 2018 all dog day care services and boarding establishments, be it in a home or purpose built facility have been required to apply for a licence from their local authority. Our license number is 24/00533/ANILIC with Stratford-upon-Avon District Council. We have a FIVE star rating, this is the highest possible rating.

Q: Are puppies allowed to attend the daycare?
A: We are happy to accept puppies once they have had all of their vaccinations. Daycare can be the perfect place for your puppy to learn how to socialise.

Q: Do all dogs get on well with each other?
A: We do everything we can to ensure that all dogs are happy and socialise well. Dogs are very much like humans and tend to form their own friendship groups with the dogs they trust. We are very strict in our acceptance criteria and do not take on dogs anti-social behaviour issues. This hopefully ensures that all dogs play well with each other.

Q: What happens if my dog is not that well trained?
A: We accept this as a challenge. We want all dogs to enjoy their time with us and our aim is to work with you and your dog to improve their behaviour and social skills. As previously mentioned, we do not accept dogs with anti-social behaviour issues.

Q: Do you offer a collect and drop-off facility?
A: Sorry, we do not currently offer this facility. However, we are open from 8am until 6pm and can provide half or full day care for your dog.

Q: Do you offer day care at weekends and bank holidays?
A: Sorry, Arthur’s Dog Daycare only operates from Monday-Friday (8am – 6pm). We are also closed on bank holidays.
