Why use daycare?

For dog lovers choosing a daycare facility for their dog is as important as choosing a nursery for their child. It is important to feel confident that your dog is in good care every visit.
When checking out the daycare facility make sure you know exactly what your dog will be doing and where they will be spending their time.

A good day care facility will welcome you to visit at any time, even during their busiest times. Seeing how they work during those times can provide peace of mind that your dog is in good care ALL of the time.

Sending your dog to daycare can be a great way to combat separation anxiety. Our facility provides each dog with exercise, mental stimulation, and socialisation.

Most dogs gain a great deal from attending daycare. Dogs are social animals and look forward to meeting their friends and the interaction with humans. They certainly benefit from the freedom provided by a daycare facility.

What to consider when choosing a daycare facility

Don’t be afraid to ask questions and speak to all members of staff, a good day care facility should all be working off the same page. A few questions you could ask are:

• What does the daycare facility do if your dog is injured or ill during their time there?
• Do they have access to vets incase there is an accident?
• Do they take un-neutered males that are over 12 months old? (the answer should be no).
• How many dogs does each carer look after?
• How do they exercise the dogs?
• What play facilities are there?
• Do they separate the smaller dogs from the larger ones? It is not always necessary to do this as different breeds can socialise with others very well.
• Are there certain breeds the facility does not accept
